Bryan Johnson Family

I believe in the Johnson family as a family established by God, for God, whose principles are derived by the Word of God; a strong family of many strong individuals for which parents, grandparents and loved ones have given their time and lives. A family established upon the principles of honesty, love, integrity, and a personal walk with God. I therefore believe it is my duty to God and my family to love them, to support their principles, to obey their rules, and to defend them from all enemies. I will love God, walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, and seek Godly wisdom.
Missionary Bryan Johnson

Bryan Johnson

My name is Bryan Johnson. I was born in 1974, seven weeks after my parents, Dan and Gerri Johnson, arrived in Brazil for the first time. My mother led me to the Lord on a Wednesday night in July of 1978, when I was four years old. While still in grade school, God called me to Brazil. In 1995 I married my high school sweetheart, Rebekah. In May, 2000, I graduated from Bible College. While at college I saw hundreds of people saved and taught a Sunday school class. The Lord has given Rebekah and me three wonderful children, Jeff, David, and Lee. Together we are serving our Lord, Jesus Christ, as second-generation missionaries in Brazil. At the moment pastoring Compassion Baptist Church in São Caetano, Brazil.

Rebekah Johnson

Hello, my name is Rebekah Johnson. I was blessed to be born in a Christian home. God also allowed me to attend a Christian school for my entire education. I was actively involved in my home church in various ministries. It is my greatest delight and honor to be wife to Bryan Johnson and mother to our 3 wonderful sons. I am a home school mom and I love it. When I am not teaching my boys or caring for my wonderful husband, I keep busy teaching the children’s class and choir at church. I enjoy playing the piano and flute for our services. I have authored a book about deputation that you can find on our recourse page.

Jeff was saved at the age of four, and had the wonderful privilege of growing up on the mission field. At the age of seven, God called me to be a missionary to Brazil, and I began learning many things to help me do just that. I attended Hyles-Anderson College, where I received my Bachelors of Science.

Rebecka was born to a Christian family, and was saved at the age of four after listening to a Patch the Pirate CD. God burdened my heart for missions in high school after a missionary to the Ukraine presented his ministry to my school. I attended college, where I began dating Jeff, and he was very upfront with his calling to Brazil. I quickly knew that I would be following him there.

David was born into a missionary home and was saved at the age of 4. He was always willing to be a missionary and for most of his life has been telling people that he would be. In September of 2020, God confirmed the call to missions in David’s life. David graduated from Hyles-Anderson College in 2020 where he met his wife Lily. They have been happily married since January 2, 2021.

Lily was born to a first generation Christian family and was able to grow up in a good church. When she was 13 years old, Lily knew that she needed to get saved and after speaking to her pastor’s daughter about it she accepted Christ. Lily has always been surrendered to do whatever God wants and once she met David, God made it clear that that would be serving on the mission field of Brazil.

Lee & Liz Johnson

Lee grew up on the mission field in Brazil and loved it. He loved being in the ministry with his family, and he also loved the food! At a youth camp, Lee felt called of God to do mission work in the area of youth ministry. After college, Lee married his best friend Liz, and together they moved to Berne, Indiana where Lee serves as the Director of Campus Life Youth for Christ at South Adams schools. Liz is the Assistant Director, and they love working together to see kids come to know Christ as their Savior.

Liz grew up in a loving Christian home, and from a young age had a desire to serve God in the ministry. In her teen years, she developed a passion for missions and reaching lost people. Lee and Liz became two peas in a pod during high school, and got married after college. Together, they get to spend their lives serving Jesus and reaching the lost. Liz works with Lee for Youth for Christ, specifically Campus Life which is a ministry in the public school.
